Monday is lineup day. Get em in…
Lamar Odom – For now the third time in about a week Lamar Odom took only 3 field goals. The Lakers are winning so don’t expect a trade to rescue Odom from the awful fantasy season.
Jermaine O’Neal – After two games where JO played limited minutes, the Raptors took off the leash yesterday. O’Neal had 24, 8, and most importantly, 6 blocks. Like we said on Saturday, owners want the minutes paced to keep JO in the lineup for the year.
Josh Howard – Most observers expect Howard to return at some point this week. We know J-Ho has been through a full practice and then experienced continued swelling. There’s no guarantee here. If you can afford to rest him one more week it is advised.
Grant Hill – Hill is moving into the starting lineup for the forseable future (aka until he gets hurt). I picked him up in my 12-team league. It wasn’t a confident pickup but I may look his way if Josh Howard is a no go. Playing Hill 30-plus every night is an awful idea for the Suns and seems like a short-sighted move. Hill needs to be paced to make it through the season.
Kevin Martin – Right before Martin came back from his ankle injury he claimed he wasn’t anywhere close to 100 percent. Then he left his last game with that same sore ankle. He’s questionable for the week. I’m wary.
John Salmons – He’s back and still killing. If Kevin Martin is out again Salmons will reap the fantasy benefits.
Stephen Jackson – Captain Jack had an MRI on his left hand and it sounds like there could be damage in there. It’s hard to believe that the Warriors didn’t get the MRI before they let Jackson play with the injury. If Jackson needs to miss time it will have huge fantasy implications. Most likely what would happen is that Nellie would crush you with a game-to-game platoon of CJ Watson, Anthony Morrow, and Kelenna Azubuike.
Rodney Stuckey – Looks like Stuckey will get a shot at the starting point guard spot in Detroit, moving AI to the 2. Stuckey just isn’t a true point guard, but he’s worth a pick up if he’s going to get the minutes.
