The Utah Jazz entered Tuesday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks at eighth-place in the Western Conference, a half game up on the surging Portland Trail Blazers and just two games back of Dirk Nowitzki and company. After 53 minutes of some of the most thrilling and hotly-contested basketball of the season, all that separated the Jazz and Mavericks was this game-winning step-back jumper by Gordon Hayward.
