LeBron James Repeatedly Stonewalls Jimmy Kimmel’s Sidekick, Guillermo

Media day for any sport is usually a very mundane, tedious affair. Reporters and other members of the media gather around a player, ask that player a question they’ve been asked thousands of times, and will be asked thousands of times more, and receive a similarly rout answer. Media day for the NBA Finals was no different, until “Jimmy Kimmel Live” sidekick Guillermo showed up.

Guillermo fools around with most of the players, telling Iman Shumpert the ball is his microphone, taking a picture of J.R. Smith and making his face fat, and hugging Stephen Curry. The best, however, is his repeated futile attempts to get LeBron James’ attention (and his subsequent venting session with Timofey Mozgov). Anyone who has ever been in a media session with LeBron can empathize with Guillermo’s disappointment. The King is very strict when it comes to his media availability, and is loathe to break his routine, even for Kimmel’s assistant.

Maybe if the Cavaliers win the series, Guillermo can finally get a word or two (or a hug) in with LeBron. He shouldn’t hold his breath, though.
