Joel Embiid Blocked LeBron Three Times And It Was Glorious

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid faced off against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday night, and The Process was all about blocking the hell out of LeBron James the entire evening.

Embiid had 22 points in 25 minutes for the 76ers in the 102-101 loss, but Sixers fans will be talking about his play against King James for a long time. Embiid had four blocks on Saturday, including three against James.

The first one was perhaps the most impressive, chasing down James in transition to slap LeBron’s layup away from the net before it could drop. It was clearly goaltending upon replay, but whoa boy did it get the Philadelphia crowd hyped up.

The other two blocks came in a close fourth quarter, including this one with Embiid sliding across to deny James once more with 2:19 left and the Sixers up a pair.

Check out how James slipped by him in midair and he still somehow reached across far enough to get a piece of the ball at the rim. The 76ers lead didn’t last, but man, Philadelphia has got to be excited about Embiid finally being healthy and having fun out there.

Maybe The Process was worth the wait.
