Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers are set to begin a big offseason for the organization. The team has strong draft capital and a ton of cap space to work with in a year in which they might actually be trying to win some basketball games and, if Embiid can return at 100 percent health, the sky is the limit.
With that said, Embiid finds ways to entertain the basketball world even when he isn’t playing competitive basketball and he struck again on Tuesday.
Embiid took the time to visit a local park in Philadelphia and later elected to post an Instagram video of something of a 1-on-1 battle he had with a youngster on the blacktop. While the entire thing was not filled with merciless dominance, Embiid did elect to send the young man packing with a monstrous block that earned quite a reaction from the onlookers that were courtside.
It was all seemingly done with a smile and that is Embiid’s personality in a perfect sense. Still, it is undeniably funny that he would swat a kid’s shot with that kind of frankness and the soon-to-be second year big man provided a story that the boy can remember for as long as he plays basketball.
