Aside from Russell Westbrook, John Wall is probably the most explosive point guard in the league. That athleticism was on full display Friday night against the Cavaliers when he drove the length of the court through Cleveland’s entire defense and was able to get the layup despite getting mauled by Timofey Mozgov.
Midway through the third quarter, Wall had 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting to go along with seven assists and five rebounds, but the Wizards were trailing 63-48. It’s more or less the story of Washington’s season thus far, i.e. Wall playing great but for some reason that not translating into team success.
