The Jordan Store’s Grand Opening In Toronto Was As Spectacular As Its Namesake

TORONTO – The North is all in on All-Star Weekend, and Jordan Brand is in on the celebration. The Jordan Brand store at 306 Yonge St. had an early opening celebration on the Thursday before All-Star, and with fans lined up waiting to get in at 6:23 a.m. on Friday morning, the media and some randomly selected Jordan fans, brand ambassadors, and shoe enthusiasts got a chance to check out the spot early.

The store is nothing short of impressive from the second you walk in the door. There’s a giant Jordan statue towering over everyone inside, as well as a signature shot of His Airness from behind the counter. You can see versions of the Jordan I through Jordan XXX in a special wall installation, and special edition merchandise is all over the place. For All-Star Weekend, limited quantities of the Jordan XXX, Horizon PRM, and Cement IV were available, as well as shirts, socks, and more.

Downstairs, there’s a customization headquarters, where you can put your own signature touches on shoes and apparel.

Four different artists lent their own personal touches to the lounge, and there’s even a sculpture deconstructing the six different shoes MJ wore during his championship seasons.

Outside in the mall entrance on the lower floor, a huge glass wall has all kinds of icons celebrating Toronto.

Lines were out the door on Friday, and this is sure to be a destination for Canadian sneakerheads for a long time.
