How In The World Did Kawhi Leonard Make This Circus Shot?

With the Spurs trailing the Timberwolves by two early in the third quarter Monday night, Kawhi Leonard drove baseline, absorbed the contact from Kevin Garnett and still somehow managed to contort his body and get the circus shot to go down. The Spurs would go on to win 101-95 and remain a perfect 18-0 at home this season.

Leonard led the way with 17 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field and made his only three-point attempt on the night. He added 11 rebounds, three assists and a steal. Boban Marjanovic also chipped in 17 points for the Spurs in just over 14 minutes of action and was a perfect 7-of-7 from the floor. San Antonio had a total of six players in double-digit scoring for the game on a night when coach Gregg Popovich picked up two quick technicals and got tossed from the game before halftime.

Andrew Wiggins was the high scorer for Minnesota with 18 points on 8-of-18 from the field, to go along with six rebounds, two steals and an assist. Karl-Anthony Towns had a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds, and Zach LaVine added 15 points but was just 5-of-14 shooting from the floor, including 0-of-4 from downtown. The Timberwolves also struggled from the free-throw line as they made just 14 of their 24 attempts.
