Kevin Durant’s Newest KD 10 Shoes Were Only Availble Via An App During Game One Of The NBA Finals

Nike and Kevin Durant released a new pair of KDX shoes with a unique twist. The shoe company announced a special pair of Durant’s KD10 shoes will only be on sale while Durant is on the court for Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

The “Still KD” colorway went on sale at 9 p.m. Eastern time on Thursday night, presumably because Durant will be in the starting lineup when Game 1 tipped off in Oakland. But if he checks out of the game, it’s halftime or there’s some other sort of timeout on the floor, fans won’t be able to buy the new KD 10s.

The shoe’s website features the model with a neon sign background, which presumably will be lit when Durant’s on the court and the shoe’s for sale. Fans that do snag a pair through Nike’s SNKRS app get a special pin set. The KD 10s will be on sale through the app until they are sold out, or Game 1 of the Finals ends, whichever comes first.

Durant released a video of him customizing a few boxes of KD 10s for friends to help hype the shoe’s release.

The wide release date for the Still KDs is Friday, but it’s a fun concept for sneakerheads who want an early crack at the KD 10s second colorway.
