The Thunder Are Playing Better Defense Against Each Other Than On The Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs equaled a postseason record by scoring 43 points in the first quarter of Saturday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldrirdge are scoring every which way possible, Danny Green has made four three-pointers, and the Spurs are basically making the Thunder look like they’ve never played defense.

None of that would be quite so problematic, though, if Oklahoma City could get out of its own way offensively. Yet as this attempted alley-oop makes abundantly clear, that hasn’t quite been the case thus far in Game 1.

The Spurs lead the Thunder 73-40 at halftime. Yikes.
