If you’re able to get past the fact that he’s unapologetically everywhere all the time, Kevin Hart seems like a pretty likable guy. He’s funny, he’s energetic, and he makes everyone around him feel tall.
But one person who apparently isn’t much of a fan is Hart’s all-time favorite basketball player, Michael Jordan. While visiting Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday night, the comedian told Kimmel about the time that he met Jordan at a charity event and didn’t make the greatest first impression.
While performing at the event, Hart apparently turned it into a spontaneous roast of Jordan, specifically targeting the legend’s mustache and the stupid pants he was wearing at the time. Considering the fact that we’re very familiar with Jordan’s tendency to wear god-awful pants, we can only assume that it was a good routine and that Hart was justified in his criticism.
But it turns out that MJ didn’t exactly love being the butt of the joke, as his interaction with Hart after the routine was seemingly less than warm. Considering all the prior tales we’ve heard about how ill-advised it is to talk trash to Jordan, that’s not all too surprising to hear.
Fortunately for Hart, he’s been able to avoid seeing Jordan since that awkward initial meeting. I feel pretty confident in assuming that Jordan can’t say the same.
