Kobe Bryant continued his farewell tour Saturday night as he made his final appearance at the Moda Center against the Portland Trail Blazers. It was a pretty forgettable game for both Bryant and the rest of his young Lakers teammates as they were run out of the building to the tune of 121-103. Bryant finished with 10 points on 5-of-9 shooting but was responsible for five of LA’s 19 turnovers, which the Blazers converted into 27 points on the night.

He wasn’t too happy with his team’s performance, according to one report, but then again there isn’t much you can do when Portland’s dynamic backcourt duo of Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum had it going the way they did Saturday. They combined for a season-high 62 points, and Lillard was particularly deadly in terms of his efficiency. He shot 14-of-19 from the field, including 5-of-8 from downtown, and had zero turnovers in just three quarters of action.

When Kobe was asked after the game whether Dame should be joining him at the All-Star game in Toronto next month, he scoffed at the notion that it was even up for debate. Although we’re not so sure it’s that cut and dry, we tend to agree with that overall assessment.
