Kobe Bryant has been on a roll the past few days. First, he started a meme on Instagram defending Russell Westbrook and his unconscionable chucking. Then, he did the unthinkable and compared Westbrook to Michael Jordan. Then, he jumped to LeBron James’ defense for leaving Cleveland and joining Miami.
Now, he’s defending Shaq against accusations of laziness?

The only problem is that Kobe was notorious for calling Shaq lazy during their time together playing for the Los Angeles Lakers. He routinely complained that Shaq didn’t take things seriously and furthermore that he always showed up for training camp out of shape. If that wasn’t enough, Kobe made the exact same statement in a New Yorker interview as recently as last year:

Maybe it’s the Vicodin talking again, but whatever the case, Kobe seems to have a short and/or selective memory about both the near and distant past.
