The Lakers Fan Who Won $95k On A Half-Court Shot Will Use The Money To See Kobe’s Final Game

David Moya did something at a Lakers game Sunday that most of the players in the building have yet to do this season — hit a high-pressure shot with everything on the line for a huge victory.

Moya hit a half-court shot between the third and fourth quarters that won him $95,000, money he said he will use to attend the final game of Kobe Bryant.

That seems like a real treat for a Lakers fan, but how Moya knows which game will be Bryant’s last before he slips in the shower and breaks his hip (because he’s so old!) is a secret he did not reveal. The Lakers’ final game is April 13 at home against the Utah Jazz, and there’s a good chance Bryant will no longer be able to run or jump by then.

On a Sunday night of incredible achievements, the Lakers defeated the Suns 97-77 for their third-straight victory. It’s the Lakers’ first three-game winning streak since February 2015 and makes you wonder — shouldn’t they give Moya a chance at more playing time? If he has Stephen Curry’s range, he has to be worth a look for at least some bench minutes.
