LeBron James Nearly Hit His Head On The Backboard As He Finished This One-Handed Alley-Oop

It’s a day that ends in the letter y and the Cleveland Cavaliers are playing basketball. This means that LeBron James and Kyrie Irving teamed up to do something wonderful.

Irving was dribbling on the fast break during Cleveland’s game against Toronto on Monday night. The only man between him and the hoop was Kyle Lowry. While this was happening, James was sprinting down the other side of the court unbeknownst to anyone else. Irving saw this and threw up a lob, although it looked like he didn’t time the pass perfectly.

But because LeBron James is LeBron James, he grabbed the pass with one hand and slammed it home. Somehow he managed to avoid hurting his right arm while he did this, as that got pinned against the backboard while his momentum took him towards the baseline. He also nearly hit his head on the backboard, which is crazy for anyone, especially a person who is 31 and has been in the NBA for more than a decade.

It was spectacular, but when James and Irving are teaming up for alley-oops in transition, the spectacular becomes the ordinary.
