It’s rare to make a player look both foolish and awful defensively, but somehow Luol Deng pulls it off with style.
As Deng comes streaking down on the break, he already has the Bulls defense at a disadvantage, mainly because Nikola Mirotic can’t quite keep up. When Mirotic finally does recover, Deng hits him with a terrific hesitation that sends the already off-balance Mirotic stumbling backwards. Somehow, Mirotic is able to shake that off, but it doesn’t do him much good because Deng is already at the basket, cramming the ball through the hoop in front of his former home crowd.
