Metta World Peace Wants To Settle The Score With The Clippers For Best Team In L.A.

In a weird scheduling quirk, there are no NBA Playoff games on tonight, with Miami/Chicago and San Antonio/Golden State continuing with Game 3s tomorrow evening. But if it was up to Metta World Peace, we’d have some entertainment. The Lakers forward wants to settle the score once and for all with the Clippers.

Let’s pretend for a minute that MWP isn’t just bored and trolling (a strong possibility, if you take a look at his history of tweets over the past few weeks). Let’s pretend that the Clippers didn’t sweep all four games against the Lakers this year, and that they didn’t win three of them by double-digits. Let’s pretend that in seven games since acquiring Chris Paul, the Clippers weren’t averaging 106.7 points a game against the Lakers. Let’s pretend that the Lakers weren’t one of the biggest disappointments in NBA history or that they didn’t barely make the playoffs or that they weren’t unceremoniously annihilated in the first round against San Antonio. Let’s pretend that in his three games against the “JV” team this year, World Peace didn’t shoot 32 percent and didn’t average seven points a game.

At this point, we’d rather read Metta World Peace tweets than see a one-sided “Battle For L.A.”

Which team will be better next season?
