UPDATE: Kidd-Gilchrist has sustained a dislocated right shoulder.

PREVIOUSLYMichael Kidd-Gilchrist has appeared in just seven games this season due to the separated right shoulder he suffered in training camp. The good news for the Charlotte Hornets, though, is that their defensive stopper made a quicker recovery than anticipated and returned to the lineup fully healthy on January 29.

Less than two weeks later, Kidd-Gilchrist seems to have injured the same shoulder he had surgically repaired.

Yikes.

The 23-year-old writhed in audible pain after Ian Mahinmi fell on his right side, and walked gingerly to the Hornets locker room moments later with doctors from both teams by his side. We’ll keep you updated on his condition as news becomes available.
