It was Vince Carter who created the turnover, but Mike Conley didn’t want to risk an easy two points by throwing the ball backwards to let the former high-flier finish what he started. Instead, the Memphis Grizzlies diminutive point guard did the next best thing: throw down his first dunk since 2014.
Take a close look at Conley’s face in the baseline replay of the video above. That’s a clear smile after he turns to look back at Carter, right? We certainly like to think so, and the sly grin he sports on his way down the floor suggests as much, too.
