Nike Dropped The First Official Images And Release Dates For The Flyknit ‘KD10’

Images of Kevin Durant’s 10th signature shoe, the aptly named ‘KD10,’ have been floating around the internet for a couple of weeks, as some testers got a sneak peek at the first Flyknit offering from Durant, but on Sunday, Nike unveiled the official first looks and the release dates for the first two colorways.

The KD10 “Anniversary” colorway is a “faint blue” with a multi-color swoosh representing all of his teams since college, and will drop on May 26, with the KD10 “Still KD” in white with gray accents releasing on June 1.

The video above shows both the “Anniversary” and “Still KD” colorways, and Nike released some official images of the “Anniversary” colorway as well. The multi-color swoosh provides a little bit of a pop to the sneaker, which is a full Flyknit upper and features a similar look to the KD9, especially at the collar.

The addition of Flyknit to the Durant sneaker was by request from KD, who has been wanting a Flyknit shoe for years and finally gets it in his 10th signature.

“I got a pair of the Flyknit Racer during the 2012 games in London and immediately loved them. That shoe is so stylish, so innovative and so comfortable. I’ve been asking for Flyknit in my shoe and the KD10 is my best shoe yet,” said Durant.

With the upcoming drops on May 26 and June 1, the KD10 will hit the market right as the Warriors figure to be making a run at their third straight NBA Finals appearance. The first two offerings are both neutral colorways, but it will be interesting to see how creative they get with the color blending options that the Flyknit material allows for as we get more releases over the next year.
