These Sleeping And Nose-Picking Bros Sum Up How Monday Night Felt For Cavs Fans

Remember the scene in Fight Club when Ed Norton lays an unholy beating on Jared Leto? Leto’s face is destroyed and Norton says afterward, “I just wanted to destroy something beautiful.”

Related: The Golden State Warriors annihilated the Cleveland Cavaliers 132-98 on Monday night. Members of Project Mayhem would have needed to carry the Cavs to a hospital if this movie reference were a real thing at an NBA game.

The game was over by halftime and fans in Cleveland, well, let’s say they lost interest.

Every fan’s living nightmare should be attending a game and being caught on camera doing something embarrassing. In days of yesteryear, if you were captured falling over some seats or vomiting on a staircase, there was no one pointing a phone at a TV to capture your shame for all eternity. People would laugh for a moment, then go back to their lives filled with newspapers and Walkmans.

Now ol’ Sleepy and Picky could be the new Crying Jordan meme. Picky might be rolling into his office this morning with 50 printouts of his nose-picking taped to his desk. Same for Sleepy. Even worse, a year from now, they may wind up appearing on an episode of Tosh.0, and no one deserves that.

Not every fan was this apathetic. In the early going, one fan tried to intimidate Stephen Curry mid-shot, and you can probably guess how that went.
