The Detroit Pistons lost to the Miami Heat on Tuesday night, locking them into the eighth playoff seed in the Eastern Conference and a first-round matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers. While most league followers expected Stan Van Gundy and his players to be disappointed at the prospect of facing the reigning conference champions, that assumption, apparently, was incorrect.
Shortly after Detroit’s loss to Miami, Reggie Jackson said how excited he was to be playing Cleveland. Why? He wants to beat the best.
Reggie Jackson on Cavs in 1st round: "I like it… I don't want to fight Goliath's homeboy or little brother. I want to fight Goliath."

Nice.
Regardless of any potential shade thrown at the Heat, you have to like Jackson’s confidence. The Pistons have no chance to beat the Cavaliers, after all, unless they believe doing so is possible. Still, we’ve a feeling Jackson might regret his comments when he meets LeBron James and company face to face this weekend.
