Rudy Gobert scored six points, grabbed three rebounds, and altered several shots in just 15 minutes of playing time on Thursday night against the Houston Rockets. It was the Utah Jazz big man’s first game since November 30th, and he showed no signs of wear and tear from a knee sprain that kept him from 18 games – as this effortless jam over Montrezl Harrell makes forcefully clear.
With their defensive fulcrum back in the fold, expect the 15-20 Jazz to begin a run up the Western Conference playoff standings. And once Derrick Favors returns and this team regains full health, too, don’t be surprised if Utah plays thorn in the side of a championship contender come playoff time.
