This Brilliant Spurs Out Of Bounds Play Ended With A Massive Jonathan Simmons Dunk

Earlier in the night, the Spurs forgot to guard Giannis Antetokounmpo and he made them pay. This must have given Gregg Popovich an idea for a play that led to one of his players getting a wide open dunk, because my goodness, did Jonathan Simmons bring the hammer down on Milwaukee.

The Spurs had Nicolas Laprovittola take the ball out of bounds. Simmons somehow shook his man and had a wide open path to the hoop, so Laprovittola tossed the ball towards the rim from behind the basket, Simmons grabbed it with one hand, and he finished with authority.

Simmons scored six points in San Antonio’s 97-96 win over Milwaukee. Getting the win was definitely nice, but for Simmons, it was probably a little nicer knowing that he dang near levitated and rocked the rim like this.
