Watch All The Crazy Ball-Handling That Helped Win Stephen Curry The MVP

Honestly, we’ve all been here before. Even before Stephen Curry was officially awarded the MVP, he was already the Internet’s MVP — Most Viewable Player. We’ve seen his top plays, we’ve waxed poetic about how damn fun he is to watch, but you’ve probably already watched the video at the top of this post anyway, because Steph highlights never get old.

There have been amazing ballhandlers before, and there have been amazing shooters before. Curry might not be the best at either in the NBA, although if he isn’t, he’s damn close in both respects. But no one has ever approached Curry’s combined greatness at eye-popping crossovers and cold-blooded shooting. On his most famous play of the regular season, which is the final clip in the video, he flicks the ball from his chest at the top of the arc when fading away and nails it. That’s a shot perhaps no one else makes, and it is still less impressive than Steph’s behind-the-back dribble that led him to that point. That play isn’t why he won the MVP, but it is part of why we all wanted him to.
