Stephen Curry Absolutely Dominated The Blazers With A Third Quarter Scoring Clinic

After people questioned the super-ness of Golden State’s so-called super team following the significantly more super San Antonio Spurs’ season opening 129-100 beatdown of the Warriors, Stephen Curry’s superstar-packed super-duper team seems to have things under control. Super!

The Warriors, who would like people to forget how they blew a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals, have rattled off three wins in a row, and the scoring is certainly at a premium. On Tuesday night, they dispatched the Portland Trail Blazers with ease, as five players scored double digits (including Ian Clark with 22 points in 25 minutes), led by the often absurdly, impossibly good Curry.

In fact, Curry was so good in this game that 23 of his 28 points came in the third quarter, after he presumably dipped his hands in magic dust, and the Portland faithful were left choking on their quinoa nachos. As you can see in the above highlight video, Curry’s ridiculous run helped the Warriors turn a six-point lead into a comfortable 28-point cushion, hitting five threes like it was nothing. Naturally, while the Portland broadcasters watched in awe, the Warriors’ Twitter team was equally fired up with GIFs and clever wordplay…

Hopefully someone explained that joke to Klay Thompson.
