Either way, let’s call it what it is: Patrick Beverley doing Patrick Beverley things.
Beverley has earned himself a reputation as one of the NBA’s most physical defenders. You know how they say that great players sometimes get reputation calls or mouthy ones can sometimes get reputation technicals? Well, this seems like a reputation retaliation.
And let’s not ignore Beverley’s shoulder-driving hello to Steph before the game.
Curry is rarely one to lose his cool, and Bev was mostly just playing hard, physical defense here. But Steph was clearly aware of who was getting up in his chest. It’s probably safe to assume this isn’t the last we’ve heard from Pat Bev during this series.
