Steven Adams Had The Perfect Explanation For Why Thanksgiving Is Such A Great Holiday

Steven Adams is the gift that keeps on giving from a personality standpoint, and the Oklahoma City Thunder big man put forth another gem on Friday.

When asked about his Thanksgiving holiday and how it was, Adams declared the following:

“It was good. I like that holiday. You don’t have to buy gifts for anyone, but you just get to eat. It’s a good holiday.”

This is, well, a perfect description.

The 23-year-old center from New Zealand, by way of the University of Pittsburgh, probably did not celebrate Thanksgiving in the way that most of his teammates did growing up. That hasn’t stopped Adams from taking a particular liking toward the holiday. The entire NBA took the day off on Thursday before returning to action with a jam-packed, 15-game slate on Friday night, but even as the Thunder traveled from Sacramento (Wednesday) to Denver (Friday), it is good to know that the team was able to sit back, relax, and eat with no restrictions.

Some people like to give gifts. Some people like to receive them. Steven Adams? He just likes to eat, and it seems likely that he is not the only player in the NBA who feels the same way.
