The Mavs Have Turned Jason Terry & Dirk Nowitzki Into Comic Book Superheroes

The tired and true story for most NBA players is that they got where they are with hard work and dedication. Many of these stories pull on our heart strings and may bring a tear to our eye while making us proud for the player. Is it fair to compare the superhuman work NBA players put in to a comic book superhero? The Dallas Mavericks think so.

The Mavs are now playing JumboTron comic book-style origin stories for Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Terry.

unlike many superhero origin stories, most of this is based on fact. Dirk was mentored by Holger Geschwindner and Slick Watts was Terry’s third grade P.E. teacher and has always been an inspiration for him.

Solid work by the Mavs who are known for providing fans with some of the best in-game entertainment in the league. Hopefully, there will be a Rick Carlisle origin story next, as his coaching super powers must involve his uncanny resemblance to Jim Carrey.
