This Normal Dude Tricked Everyone Into Thinking He Was Drafted By The Jazz

The Utah Jazz had a pretty nice draft. The squad selected Kentucky forward Trey Lyles with the No. 12 pick, snagged Boston College shooting guard Olivier Hanlan at No. 42, and grabbed Daniel Diez out of Spain with the 54th pick of the night.

One person they didn’t choose is Connor Toole, who you’ve probably never heard of in any of the draft literature that you read leading up to Thursday night, mostly because he’s a writer for Elite Daily. However, Toole is really tall and owns a suit, which means he looks like a lot of draft prospects.

Toole went to the Barclays Center, hung out for a while, and convinced a bunch of people on the street that he’s a prospect. Once he was finished there, he grabbed a Utah hat and meandered about Manhattan, partying like he just got taken by the Jazz with the No. 42 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. He took a lot of shots, posed for plenty of pictures and got a phone number or two.

Fortunately for him, nobody took the time to Google who the pick was or what Hanlan looks like, because the two don’t look anything alike.
