The Top 10 Plays From Each Position In The NBA Last Season Will Make Your Jaw Drop

We’ve officially entered the dog days of summer. The draft is over, most of the free agents have signed their new deals, the summer league champ has been crowned, Team USA has successfully defended their gold, and yet we still have two-plus months to go before the start of the new NBA season. This is the time when the hoops withdrawals hit the hardest.

Thankfully, the NBA has given something to sate the cravings, at least for a little while. On Wednesday, they released this jaw-dropping countdown of the top 10 plays of the season, by position. There’s too many mind-boggling plays to enumerate here, so just be sure to carve 15 minutes of your day at some point to marvel at the best basketball players in the world accomplishing athletic feats that the rest of us mere mortals can only dream about.

It was a season that belonged to the Warriors and the Cavs, so it’s fitting that two of the most memorable highlights came courtesy of their two best players, respectively. First, there was this instant-classic game-winner from Steph Curry against the Thunder that happened during the pinnacle of his historic season and felt all but preordained by the basketball gods on high.

After their record-breaking 73-win season that culminated in a 3-1 series lead in the Finals, a second straight championship seemed like it was in the bag. But then LeBron James happened. He put together one of the greatest Finals performances of all-time this spring, and no play was bigger than this title-saving block on Andre Iguodala.

There were other spectacular plays, of course, so allow those to briefly fill the void while we try to figure out what to do with ourselves for the next two months.
