Watch This Man Face-Plant A Trampoline Dunk Attempt During The Jazz Game

Trampoline dunks give people of ordinary, or even sub-ordinary, athletic ability the chance to pul off acrobatics they could only achieve in their dreams. A front-flip dunk? No problem. Want to pull off Vince Carter’s forearm-through-the-hoop dunk? Piece of cake. A full 360? Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.

At least, that’s how it works once you’re in the air. To get to that point, you have to nail the jump, something this poor fellow clearly didn’t do tonight during the Utah Jazz’s 109-92 win over the Dallas Mavericks. He gets a good running start, but he botches the jump completely. As anyone who had a trampoline growing up, or even had a friend with a trampoline, you simply cannot land on a spring. First off, it hurts like hell. Second, it completely screws up your jump, taking away your momentum and leaving you earthbound.

The best part of this entrancing moment is the end, after the man falls flat on his face. Some would brush this off, laugh at themselves for their folly. Not this man. With his fists pounding the mat, he is the embodiment of frustration. This was his shot at glory. He blew it, and worse still, he knew he blew it.
