Video: Anthony Davis Erupts For 40-20 Game In Overtime Win Over Boston

Anthony Davis was putting the finishing touches on a career-night with the Celtics in New Orleans on Sunday, but then Kris Humphries decided to play spoiler with 1.1 seconds remaining like he was crashing Kimye‘s wedding day. Davis had just scored what was supposed to be the game-winner before Humprhies answered and forced OT. It didn’t matter in the end, though, because The Brow is a force these days.

Davis hit the last two buckets of regulation for the Pellies, giving him 40 points, along with what would be 21 rebounds. But Humphries just had to put a wrench in Ant’s career-night by tying the game at the end of regulation.

Here’s Davis’ smooth jumper from just beyond the three-throw line with 1.1 seconds remaining in what was supposed to be his crowning achievement. Head coach Monty Williams certainly thought so.

Then Humphries, with Davis drapped all over him in the near corner off the inbounds, drained a fadeaway to tie the score and send it to overtime. It’s just like Humphries to besmirch Davis’ happily ever after.

Despite Humphries’ huge shot to send it to overtime, Tyreke Evans saved the day for New Orleans, scoring five of the Pelicans’ nine OT points to squeeze out a 121-120 victory at home. Even after Humphries’ heroics late in regulation, Ant’s 40/20 game should mean that Kanye West’s next single will be called “Unibrow Steez.”

For the game, the Brow had 40 points on 16-for-22 shooting, including 10-for-10 from the line. He also had 21 boards, three assists, three blocks, and a steal. ‘Reke added 26 and Jeff Green was the high man for Boston with 39.
