Video: Larry Sanders Block Leads To Greek Freak Oop

Good defense leads to easy offense. That’s a mantra repeated by many coaches, but it’s true. The more turnovers a team can force, or blocked shots on the back end, the faster you can get out on the break. The Bucks proved it last night when Larry Sanders snuffed Taj Gibson against the backboard and Brandon Knight ended up tossing an alley-oop to Giannis “Greek Freak” Antetokounmpo.

Taj is a beast off the bench for the Bulls and one of our favorite two-way sixth men in the league. On this play, though, he forgets why the Bucks are paying Larry Sanders $11 million a year. Sanders — clad in those dope alien goggles he’s rocking this year — blocks Gibson’s attempt at the rim, and it starts the break…

Brandon Knight spots Giannis filling the lane behind the defense and a classic highlight is born.

The Bulls won the game, 95-86, in the return of Derrick Rose — he dropped 13 points and dished seven assists in a season-high 31-plus minutes of action.

Despite getting rejected by Sanders, Taj finished with a team-high 23 points and 10 boards in over 43 minutes on the court. Pau Gasol had 22 and snatched 14 rebounds as the Bulls dominated in the paint. Giannis led all of Milwaukee in scoring with 13 (6/11) on the night.
