And 1? There was no foul.
I believe that was the 3rd attempt at a shot like by Ellis in the game.
Commentators acting like an 8th grader can do this on the daily basis.
The reason they didn’t call foul is because of the “rule of verticality”. Monroe went straight up in the air, hands raised, without going directly toward Ellis.
The rule states: If a defender has his/her arms straight above his/her head, and the offensive player with the ball jumps up and there is contact with the defender, it is not considered a foul.
