38-Year-Old Vince Carter Banked In A 60-Footer To Beat The First Quarter Buzzer

Vince Carter has been mostly MIA so far this season for the Memphis Grizzlies, but he came up with a huge bucket to end the first quarter against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday when he drained a 60-foot buzzer-beater off the glass. And he didn’t stop there. In fact, he was positively en fuego from downtown as he drained 4-of-6 attempts from behind-the-arc. He had a game-high 12 points in the first half, which was also a season-high in points for Carter.

Matt Barnes added 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting, including 2-of-4 from long-range, while Marc Gasol chipped in eight points. Kyle Korver led the Hawks with 10 points on 2-of-5 shooting from the three-point line. Kent Bazemore had 10 points as well on 50 percent shooting from three, while Paul Millsap contributed nine points and six rebounds.

The Grizzlies took a 58-53 lead into halftime.
