Now that you’ve seen the replays of Vince Carter’s embarrassing gaffe in his team’s exhibition game against the Houston Rockets, it’s pertinent to mention that the Memphis Grizzlies wing vehemently complained to the officials after getting hung on the rim.
See Terrence Jones come up behind Carter just as he lifts off to dunk? There was a time when nothing short of a football-style tackle would keep the former slam dunk champion from rocking the rim here. But not only is this Memphis’ first game of the preseason, but Carter is 38-years-old – it takes just a bit more effort for him to walk the sky these days.
Oh, and just in case you’re doubting that the future Hall-of-Famer is still a great leaper, here he is testing his vertical last week.
