Mega Gallery: 50 Animals Ready To Rally For St. Patrick’s Day

Ah St. Patrick’s Day, the timeless tradition of Americans claiming to have a specific percentage of Irish ancestry so they can justify skipping work, school and marriage for a day to get sloppy drunk and throw up in random places at their favorite bars. While there is something adorable about a 30-year old former sorority girl having her hair held by a green ribbon while she dispenses nachos and bay breeze in the gutter outside of Applebee’s, I love this holiday more for the contributions of our furry friends. And no, I’m not referring to the Uproxx Furry Club, which meets on alternate Thursdays at my house.
I’m speaking, of course, of the most common theme of anything that we produce here at Uproxx – animals dressed like people. We’re suckers for cute dogs and cats, especially on holidays because then we can justify dressing them up in funny little costumes, while they suffer mentally. So I thought to myself, “Hey Burnsy, are there any pictures of dogs, cats and random other animals dressed up for St. Patrick’s Day?” The quick answer is… Yes. Like 16 billion. But the better answer starts after the jump.

Maybe they’re not alive, maybe I don’t care.

And this is my own best friend, Lilah Q. Burns, tuckered out from too many Jameson shots.
