If you didn't like Band of Brothers, a show so good it actually made me respect David Schwimmer, well, you're entitled to your opinion. But you're probably a huge queer. I mean, I'm just sayin.
Anyway, now that John From Cincinnati's gone, we can look forward to The Pacific, the follow up to Band of Brothers, which hopefully will contain very little overacting and mysterious strangers from another realm.
Produced by the same team of Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg and Gary Goetzman, The Pacific…
…follows three U.S. Marines through battles, from Guadalcanal—one of the first U.S.-Japan clashes—through VJ Day in August of 1945. Jon Seda (‘Close to Home’) has stepped into the lead role of John Basilone, originally to be played by Val Lauren (recently seen on ‘Crossing Jordan’). James Badge Dale (‘The Black Donnellys’) and Joseph Mazzello (recently of ‘CSI’) round out the leads as Robert Leckie and Eugene Sledge, respectively.
It's set to air in… 2009. Christ, will we even still have TV's by then? I'll probably be too busy commuting back and forth on my space otter to my robot girlfriend's house. I guess I'll just wait for the DVD. Which comes out in the year 2015.
