Comments Of The Week

Comments of the Week is back, and I’m giving away FilmDrunk shirts (BUY YOURS HERE) to each week’s winner. We don’t have an upvoting function yet, so in the meantime, you’ll have to bookmark this post and paste your favorite comments in the comments section from which I’ll choose each week’s winner. Got it? Good.

Hope you enjoyed your Presidents’ Day, FilmDrunkards. Anyway, let’s get into it. From Clive Owen’s Nic Cage-y looking knight movie, AB found fault with a medieval villain calling someone “a cancer that needs to be removed.”

AB says: You guys know what wasn’t a thing in medieval times? Knights hanging out and talking about cancer, and cancer treatment, like it was an idea of common fucking knowledge.

File that one under “good point.” Along the same lines, Burnsy in the Trainwreck trailer:

Burnsy says: “I have a great job at a men’s magazine.”

There are, like, four people on Earth who would say this line and they’re all publishers.

Sometimes a good comment is just a good point. But not always: From one of the many Fifty Shades posts:

Streetwize: There are many hypocrisy. I think one of the reason this movie doesn’t impress many people is the fact everyone have free access to pornography these days.

I am hopelessly in love with the phrase “there are many hypocrisy.” Especially coming from a commenter named “Streetwize.”

Which brings us to this week’s winner, from the Porn Stars Reading Their Insanely Hateful Hate Mail. Oh, and before we get to that, not to bring it down, but if I run a post the entire goal of which is to humanize the people who do your porn, probably save your “bro why does her face looked f*cked up bro” for another time. For another site, certainly.

Stallonewolf says: “Jew semen” sounds like the beginning of a Cholo supervillain’s cliched dialogue: “Jew semen? We’re not so different, Jew and I.”

It wasn’t necessarily the most cutting or insightful comment, but as Al Madrigal has proved time and again, there is very little you can do with a Cholo accent that won’t make me laugh. I would like to run with this Cholo supervillain concept. Send me your address and shirt size, Stallonewolf, you puto.
