This week, the Frotcast goes A-List on your ass, with an interview with Black Dynamite director Scott Sanders. He has a rare mix of movie-business insider info and candidness that you rarely find, and he even claims to find you FilmDrunk commenters pretty funny. He explains the process of making Black Dynamite, talks about some of the worst scripts he’s ever read (like Ingle Woods, the story of Tiger Woods’ ghetto cousin), and all sorts of other fun stuff. The interview starts at 37 minutes and goes for about a half hour.
Other topics include the wild world of Tonya Harding fan fiction, an excoriating letter from a most discromulent Armond White, and finally (after the interview), we review Casey Affleck and Joaquin Phoenix’s half-assed Borat fan film, I’m Still Here, aka Joaq Hard. The show is pretty much like drinking unicorn milk fresh from the teat, so listen to it and share it with everyone you know. I DEMAND IT! (It’s broken into two parts for ease of downloading).
Our intro and outro song is courtesy of Jacktion!’s band, Mayors of Super Awesome Town (sorry for screwing that up the other week). And the charity plug for The Mighty Fek’lhr at the end was for ACasualStrollThroughMordor.
