Reese Witherspoon’s Dash Cam Arrest Video Is Her Best Performance Yet

It was only a matter of time before the dash cam footage of Reese Witherspoon’s arrest was released, and TMZ was on the ball as expected. After her husband, Jim Toth, was pulled over for suspicion of DUI, Witherspoon reportedly went into full-on diva actress mode and gave the arresting officer the entire spectrum of things idiots yell when they’re drunk, from “I am an American!” to “Do you know my name? Well you’re about to!”

The video, which you can check out after the jump, is as accurate as initial reports indicated, with a drunken Witherspoon hilariously talking down to the officer as if she’s the most important woman in the world. It’s not as exciting as it could be – not nearly enough clicking noises and electricity for my taste – but kudos to Witherspoon for turning in one of the best improv performances that we’ll see this year.

Your move, James Franco.

TMZ also provided the full breakdown if you’re unable to watch the video:

Reese: “Do you know my name sir?”

Officer: “Don’t need to know.”

Reese “You don’t NEED to know my name?”

Officer: “Not quite yet.”

Reese: “YOU’RE ABOUT TO FIND OUT WHO I AM!”

Reese: “I have done nothing against the law.”

Officer: “Yes you did, you didn’t obey my orders.”

Reese: “I HAVE TO OBEY YOUR ORDERS??”

Reese: “I’m now being arrested and handcuffed??”

Reese: “I’m an American citizen … I’m allowed to stand on American ground.”

Reese: “You better not arrest me.”

Reese: “I’m being anti-American?”

Officer: “Yes, please sit down.”

Reese: “Wow!”

Reese: “You’re harassing me as an American citizen”

Additionally, here’s the video of Toth bumbling his way through his breathalyzer test.
