An Actual Griswold Family Drove Its Own Pea Green Truckster To Walt Disney World

Via my buddy Mike, comes the story of possibly the coolest family in America right now. A Georgia family with the last name Griswold actually drove to Walt Disney World in Orlando in their very own pea green Wagon Queen Family Truckster. Their trip, of course, mirrors the plot of the 1983 comedy classic, National Lampoon’s Vacation, which had the fictional Griswolds driving cross-country to Walley World. Obviously, this journey wasn’t as far or action-packed, but I give the real Griswolds credit for actually leaving their hotel early this morning just so they could park their Truckster at the back of the Disney parking lot.

Unfortunately, they won’t be able to add to the authenticity of the movie voyage by driving through East St. Louis, but there are several neighborhoods here in Orlando that I can recommend to get them close to completing that part of the trip. In the meantime, you can follow their adventure on Twitter.

As for the Truckster, notice the attention to detail, including the faux wood paneling on the hood and especially the missing hubcabs. All that is apparently missing is a leash tied to the bumper.
