Check Out ‘Him,’ The Hilarious Fake Sequel To Spike Jonze’s ‘Her’

Joaquin Phoenix falls for a sentient computer with no physical form in Spike Jonze’s Her, an entity called “Samantha” who’s everything a guy could dream of in a thing he can’t actually f*ck (mega frownies). Male desire is manifested in Samantha as an indie witty pedestal pixie who’s compassionate, quirky, clever, and sounds like Scarlett Johansson walking around your apartment after a long night of intense screwing.

It was inevitable that someone would dream up the male version of Samantha based on female desire. That’s What’s Up Comedy did the dreaming, and it’s pretty great, except for the part where the dude isn’t voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch. I mean, if you could base a woman’s idea of the perfect man on one person’s voice, it would definitely be Benedict Cumberbatch.
