Edgar Wright Lists His Top 10 Movies Of 2014

If Disney had had faith, we might be looking at trailers for a new Edgar Wright Ant-Man movie right now. Instead, we’ll have to settle for Wright’s list of top 10 movies of the year, published over at Esquire (that’s former Frotcast guest Edgar Wright to you).

Edgar Wright’s Top 10 Movies of 2014 (in no particular order):

Boyhood
The Grand Budapest Hotel
Birdman
Snowpiercer
Interstellar
Nightcrawler
Under the Skin
The LEGO Movie
Whiplash
Edge of Tomorrow

Wright also lists The One I Love, The Guest, Dear White People, Blue Ruin, Locke, Cheap Thrills, The Drop, Palo Alto, and Obvious Child as films that almost made the cut. He offers a few sentences on each over at Esquire, and I’ve reviewed most of these, so you can see what I thought here, if you care. I agree with most of the list, but I think what comes through most strongly is Edgar Wright’s blinding, irrational prejudice against films released in December.
