In this week’s bonus Frotcast, I talk to Michael E. Peter, Alec Owen and Michael Rousselet (pictured) from 5-Second Films, co-producer, screenwriter and co-director of Dude Bro Party Massacre III, respectively. DBPM3 is an ’80s slasher parody they raised more than $200K to make and which premieres at the LA Film Festival this weekend.

I ask them about what it’s like trying to make a movie with 12-15 writers and how the hell they’ve been able to keep such a big group together for so many years. I saw That Thing You Do; I know how hard it is to keep a band together. We discuss how they scored all their magnificent cameos, from Larry King to Nina Hartley to Patton Oswalt to Andrew WK. We also discuss how much Larry King got paid ($8) and what Andrew WK calls his “character supplies” (mostly Doritos and Four Loko), and we all get sort of drunk and obnoxious by the end. Enjoy.
