Final Cut 2014 Squeezes 330 Films Into One Glorious Supercut

Nick Bosworth over at JoBlo has been creating these comprehensive supercuts for a few years now, and “Final Cut: 2014” is yet another nostalgiavaganza for a year that isn’t quite over yet. Even as a cynical, hate spewing click peddler, I have to say that 2014 was a pretty solid year. As bad as most of the Summer blockbuster offerings were, the Fall crop and a few of the early Spring movies made up for it, and this is a nice little way to relive it.

“Another year has passed and it has been a memorable one folks. 2014 gave us many incredible films from every genre you can think of and I will once again honor the people behind them and their immense efforts by showcasing 330 films that released during the past year. I thank you all for watching and look forward to an even better 2015.”

I probably could’ve done without the framing device intro of Bosworth sitting at his computer editing the supercut we’re about to watch (as a fellow movie writer, trust me when I say that no one wants to see how our particular sausage is made – main ingredients: Cheetos, sadness…), but once the supercut kicks in, it’s pretty damned watchable. It’s a great way to ask, “Which 2014 Zac Efron film was most forgettable?”
