Based on the popular book series by Veronica Roth, Divergent is the next big screen adaptation that hopes to capitalize on the end of Twilight before Twilight is eventually rebooted and earns another gazillion dollars. This hot new take on a dystopian future that naturally revolves around tweens sees the youth of Chicago separated into five factions once they turn 16, as opposed to modern Chicago, in which kids are forced to choose between the Cubs and White Sox.
Tris Prior, the film’s heroine and descendent of a clan of weak-armed wealthy, young retirees, is played by Shailene Woodley, and I’m sure that the official film plot synopsis can give you a much better idea of her story than I can.
DIVERGENT is a thrilling action-adventure film set in a future where people are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities. Tris Prior (Woodley) is warned she is Divergent and will never fit into any one group. When she discovers a conspiracy to destroy all Divergents, she must find out what makes being Divergent so dangerous before it’s too late.
Welp, I’m divergently more confused than I was before I watched this Divergent clip, which features some divergent music from Ellie Goulding and a very divergent tattoo on that guy’s back.
