The makers of The Interview may be altering their film to avoid offending a murderous boy-king, but that doesn’t mean they’ve stopped promoting. In fact, this Sunday, James Franco will be doing a half hour special preceding the VMAs on MTV, entirely in character as his Interview character, entertainment reporter Dave Skylark, in Dave Skylark’s Very Special VMA Special. “Between Two Ferns With Dicknose,” I like to call it. He’ll be interviewing the likes of Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea, and Jason Derulo, who I heard of approximately three minutes ago.
It’s funny them having to go through with this surely-carefully-planned marketing roll out, even after the release date has been pushed from October until December. You’re expecting the MTV audience to remember this movie four months from now? Haha, good luck. The VMAs haven’t even happened yet and I’ve already forgotten about them.
