Katie Holmes Might Play Sexy Cougar Elena Lincoln In ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’

Now that Dakota “Don’s Daughter” Johnson is set as Anastasia Steele and Jamie Dornan has filled Charlie Hunnam’s vacated bulge as Christian Grey, Universal is hard at work trying to fill the few remaining supporting roles for the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey. Victor Rasuk has been cast as Christian’s nemesis Jose Rodriguez, while Luke Grimes will play Elliot Grey and Jennifer Ehle is Carla May Wilks. It’s a veritable smorgasbord of people you’ve barely, if ever, heard of.

According to the National Enquirer, though, star power has arrived in the form of Katie Holmes, as Tom Cruise’s ex-wife has apparently expressed interest in playing Elena Lincoln, who is described as “Mrs. Robinson-type.” Holmes is 34, in case any of you ladies wants to feel unnecessarily old today.

KATIE HOLMES is sexing up her silver-screen image to put herself back on the movie map. And she’s hoping to land a red-hot role in the film version of “50 Shades of Grey”!

Sources say that Katie, 34, plans on going platinum blonde for the role of Elena Lincoln, kinky billionaire and main character Christian Grey’s longtime sex and business partner.

“She’s looking at this as the role of a lifetime for her,” said a pal. “It will shock a lot of people, but she thinks Hollywood will sit up and take notice.”

Katie has been putting in more hours at the gym to “tone herself up for the part,” says the friend. And while she’s younger than the character in the book – who’s described as being in her late 30s or early 40s – and not a natural blonde, Katie is convinced she’s the right woman for the role. “Katie Holmes getting sexy? This is awesome news… 10 years ago,” said every guy who pretended that he was forced to watch Dawson’s Creek by his girlfriend, even though he secretly enjoyed the hell out of it. But just for a refresher course, here’s the Katie Holmes that I and millions of other guys fell in love with in 1998…

And here she is being all Mrs. Robinson-like on Good Morning America last month…
